Veronica Hughson

Dr. Veronica Hughson is the founding chiropractor at South West Chiropractic, Warrnambool & Port Fairy.

Graduating with a Bachelor of Applied Science from RMIT in 1991 she spent two years at the prestigious Todd Chiropractic Center before returning to her beloved home town of Warrnambool.

Ever excited by the science, art & philosophy of chiropractic, Veronica has used a board range of techniques in caring for her community for over 20 years.

Veronica has training in a variety of techniques including diversified, applied Kinesiology, saccro-occipital technique(SOT), neuro emotional technique (NET), Sympathetic Dominance (SD protocol), activator, dry needling and Rocktape application.

Veronica is married with three children and her spare time is spent following their sporting and artistic pursuits!

She is extremely proud of the results of the renovation she and her husband undertook in 2016/2017 which realized her dream of having a beautiful healing environment to share with her health and fun loving colleagues.

Emily-Rose Finnigan

Emily-Rose Finnigan is a qualified Chiropractor having completed her studies at RMIT University Melbourne in 2015. 

Being adjusted from an early age fuelled Emily-Rose’s passion for chiropractic and her desire to work in this amazing profession.

Emily-Rose loves adjusting all members of the community but has a particular passion for paediatric care; and also sports chiropractic. 

Emily-Rose is a local girl, returning home to Warrnambool after a stint in Geelong and Torquay. She is a keen netballer, playing for A grade for Koroit FNC and also enjoys swimming and boxing. 

Emily-Rose looks forward to encouraging all members of our community to live active, healthy lifestyles and is excited to be practicing at both our Warrnambool and Port Fairy locations.

Emily-Rose is clinically trained in techniques including diversified, saccro-occipital technique(SOT), neuro emotional technique (NET), Sympathetic Dominance (SD protocol), activator, dry needling and Rocktape application.

She also has a passion for rehabilitation and exercise prescription.

Emily-Rose is a member of the Chiropractic Association of Australia, Sports Chiropractic Australia, Spinal Research foundation and SOTO Australasia.

Jacqui Askew

Jacqui moved from Warrnambool to Melbourne to study, where she graduated from RMIT with a Bachelor of Health Science and Masters of Clinical Chiropractic with distinctions. Since then, she has completed several post-graduate seminars and certificates in a range of fields, and most recently has completed a Diplomate of Chiropractic Paediatrics.  After 9 years of living in Melbourne and 4 years practicing Chiropractic, it is time for Jacqui to move home and join the team at South West Chiropractic Warrnambool and Port Fairy.

Jacqui loves working with people of all ages but has a special interest in working with children, pre and post-natal women and athletes. She also has a keen interest in clinical pilates, and combining this with Chiropractic treatment for sustained and motivated healthy living.

Jacqui thoroughly enjoys being a Chiropractor and is passionate about empowering her patients with knowledge to live long, happy and healthy lives. In the past Jacqui has offered her time to volunteering at the Sacred Heart community clinic, and in the Philippines at schools, villages and the Olympic training centre. She uses low force and manual techniques.

Sam Dobson

Sam Dobson is a qualified myotherapist, having graduated from RMIT Melbourne. He specializes in myofascial release, dry needling and cupping.

Sam has returned to Warrnambool after living in Geelong and playing VFL Football. High level sports involvement has fuelled his interest and understanding of the importance of a highly functioning musculoskeletal system.

In his spare time you might see him back playing football for Koroit. A keen boxer, it was his love of an active life which started his passion for Myotherapy.

Sam is available for consults in our Port Fairy Clinic on Mondays and Fridays.


Karen Carlin

Karen is our Practice Manager and Chiropractic Assistant and has been working with Veronica Hughson Chiropractic for 9 years.  Our practice would not function without the dedication and commitment that Karen brings to the team. Her infectious smile will be sure to greet you when you visit our practice.  

Karen is originally from Terang and made the move to Warrnambool with her husband Johnny and their three children; Alice, Rosie and James. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as keeping active with walking, swimming and tennis. 


Angela Northcott

Ange joined the clinic in January 2017 after working in local government and administration. She loves interacting with all our patients and making them feel welcome. 

Ange has two sons with her husband Wade and moved to Warrnambool in 2015 from South Australia. She loves sport being a keen netballer and basketballer.
